Where Expertise Meets Purpose
Fuentes Health Strategies was founded by a practitioner who spent years inside the organizations we now serve — navigating federal funding cycles, building clinical programs from the ground up, and helping community health centers find their footing in an increasingly complex landscape.
That experience shapes everything we do. We don't arrive with a generic playbook. We arrive with deep familiarity with the pressures, constraints, and opportunities that define community and safety-net healthcare — and a genuine commitment to helping organizations build something lasting.
Today, Fuentes Health Strategies works with FQHCs, rural health clinics, behavioral health providers, and mission-driven nonprofits across the country, with particular depth in Texas and the broader Southwest.

Joe C. Fuentes, Jr., MBA
Founder & Principal Consultant
Mr. Fuentes brings more than two decades of experience in community health strategy, federal program administration, and organizational development. His career spans direct service, health center leadership, and national policy work — giving him an unusually broad perspective on what it takes to build sustainable, high-performing health organizations.
He has led strategic planning processes for federally qualified health centers, guided organizations through HRSA designation and compliance, and secured tens of millions in federal and philanthropic funding for safety-net providers. His work is grounded in the conviction that access to quality healthcare is a right, not a privilege — and that the organizations fighting for that access deserve world-class strategic support.
